Nadia Davari

An experienced attorney whose practice bridges entertainment, new media, corporate, and business law — for clients ranging from digital media companies and start-ups to production companies, studios, television networks, investors, and talent.

Nadia has an extensive record of accomplishment in entity formation, corporate maintenance, content acquisition, production, domestic and international distribution, finance, and internet and new media matters ranging from capital structuring to intellectual property protection.

She restructured international content licensing deals for the MAVTV cable network and guided Channel Factory and Planet Street through establishing new media entities. At Taurus Entertainment and Dream Factory she managed all aspects of production legal. At Gigapix Studios she negotiated and drafted scripted and unscripted television, animation, documentary, and feature film acquisition and financing agreements, and helped management launch Gigapix Releasing with domestic and international distribution deals.

Her client work has included Lightning Entertainment Group, WR Films Entertainment, Je'Caryous Johnson Entertainment, Konwiser Brothers, Entertainment Treasures, Film Roman, and Starz Entertainment. Earlier in her career she practiced as an associate with Rosen and Anderson and later Barnes Morris.

Kimberlina McKinney

Kimberlina McKinney is the founder of KL&C, focusing on new technology start-ups, music rights, and the television, film, and sports industries. Before starting her own practice, she represented A-level talent in state and federal litigation — including Sandra Bullock, Tyra Banks, Halle Berry, Liam Neeson, Jude Law, and Hulk Hogan — and corporate clients such as World of Wonder Productions and Media Services, Inc., at Harder, Mirell & Abrams, LLP, where she was counsel on half a dozen high-profile lawsuits seeking over $60 million in total damages.

Early in her career, Kimberlina drafted state legislation in the California State Assembly's Jesse Marvin Unruh Fellowship, and as a legal consultant conducted over 45 independent audits of financial institutions including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup. She serves as Deputy of Fundraising & Institutional Giving at Bet Tzedek and advises Helping Heroes. She is a licensed California Notary and Real Estate Broker, and received her law degree from UCLA School of Law, where she was president of her class. She studied International Law at The Graduate Institute in Geneva and International Relations at the Universidad de San Francisco in Quito, and holds a B.A. in Sociology and Black Studies from Scripps College.

Jackie brings over nine years of experience in the music, television, and motion picture industries, including work at Universal Music Group, Sony Pictures, and private law firms. Her background spans digital and mobile distribution, licensing, partnerships, music industry agreements, film production and talent agreements, copyrights, patents, and corporate legal and business affairs. She has also managed and developed emerging artists, including music production.

As an entertainment industry consultant, Jackie has drafted and negotiated management, producer, talent, artist, songwriter, joint venture, distribution, marketing, partnership, technology, publishing, and production agreements. She advises clients on digital marketing, film and TV licensing and music placements, financing, reality television pitching, copyright, trademark, legal liability, corporate formation, and risk assessment.
